Job Title: Healthcare Specialist for Remote Communities

This is a locum-based role offering short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

  • The Northern Territory Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) focuses on strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory by collaborating with local healthcare providers.
About the Role:
  • Provide medical treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care that meets the needs of the community.
Requirements:
  • Fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a general practitioner within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognized by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Assurance and Continuous Professional Development or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine-Professional Development Program.
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a general practitioner.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
