APS 6 Grants Manager Position

The Role
We are seeking an experienced APS 6 Grants Manager to join our team on a contract basis until the end of the financial year. The ideal candidate will be based in Darwin and have a strong track record of delivering outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged Australians.
Key Responsibilities
- Empower and support team members to drive the delivery of outcomes and provide guidance and leadership to staff and support their development.
- Escalate critical incidents and high-risk issues to senior management.
- Assess, monitor, and drive the performance of funded organisations against agreed objectives, targets, and outcomes in the grant agreement and address instances of poor performance or non-compliance to achieve policy and program outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with high-risk organisations to assist them in delivering their services and manage issues and risks.
- Proactively identify, document, and escalate issues and risks that may impact the funded organisation's ability to achieve policy or program outcomes and adhere to standard processes to ensure quality in work and identify improvements.
- Use various IT systems to monitor and record organisation performance and risk data, as well as monitor team performance and workload.
- Identify local and environmental trends that impact the delivery of policies and programs and gather and analyse local intelligence to feed back to policy areas on the impact of policies and programs for improvements on future delivery and redesign.
- Maintain knowledge of and interpret relevant program guidelines, legislation, and policy frameworks.
