About the Role

Anglicare Victoria is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Worker to join our team. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in care, providing a stable and nurturing environment, and helping them to overcome challenges related to trauma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to young people in care, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, team leaders, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for young people.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting positive relationships and behaviors among young people.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in working with young people who have experienced trauma.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar.
  • Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
