About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Banking Consultant to join our team at Westfield Warringah Mall NSW. As a Banking Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing the financial needs of customers and providing options to meet those needs in pursuit of specific sales, service, and connected customer targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using the agreed sales process.
  • Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance of the store.
  • Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication with customers and recommend appropriate options using the agreed sales process.
  • Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals, and transfers) in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day-to-day banking (e.g., ATM, phone banking, internet).
  • Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with our values.
  • Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues related to your role responsibilities captured as a service request in Ignite.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, or finance are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales and service environment.
  • Analytical skills – ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data, and determine cause-effect relationships.
  • Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role.
  • Change Management – ability to recognize, understand, and support the need for change and anticipate the impact on both the team and self.
  • Commercial Acumen – ability to recognize and implement business strategies to drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience, and sales productivity.
  • Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently, both oral and written.
