HR Advisor with Expertise in Logistics and Compliance

A Senior HR Advisor is sought for our West Melbourne VIC location, where you will provide effective advisory support to one of our largest business units. This role plays a key part in delivering practical HR solutions to various stakeholders, focusing on building leadership capabilities, employee engagement, and coaching for the Intermodal team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer first-level advisory services for employees and managers on employment matters and resolving HR-related queries.
  • Assist with performance and development planning cycles, including coaching people leaders, to improve quality and outcomes.
  • Investigate employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary processes, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Analyse data and reports to address highlighted issues and make recommendations.
  • Provide advice on applicable Agreements and Awards, ensuring compliance with Fair Work and other regulations.
  • Support managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Monitor compliance of HR-related processes and documents.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working as an HR Advisor or HRBP within the Transport Industry.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Impeccable organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Power BI and creating Dashboards, analysing data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PPT.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently meet deadlines and achieve high standards, with limited direct supervision.
  • A degree qualification in Human Resources, Business, Logistics, or a relevant discipline.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent communication skills, and experience working in the transport industry. A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum reflects the expertise and skills required for this position.
