Public Sector People is seeking an experienced Application Support Team Leader for a 10-month temporary contract within a Local Government organisation based in South-East Melbourne.

  • Immediate start
  • South-East Melbourne location (currently WFH with flexible work arrangements)
  • 10-month contract
  • $78 per hour + super

The successful candidate will lead the IT Application Support Team and coordinate routine and ad-hoc testing and maintenance of application architecture, ensuring seamless operation and high-quality services.

About the Role:

  • Drive a team to adopt agile methodologies, delivering operational enhancements that meet stakeholder needs and align with organisational strategic priorities.
  • Provide technical expertise to deliver operational outcomes that meet stakeholder requirements, utilising technical capabilities and collaborating with subject matter experts and key stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues and queries, escalating to Engineering when necessary, to ensure prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Develop monthly reports on incidents and requests, tracking Application Support performance, analysing trends, and making data-driven decisions to inform strategy and improve operations.
  • Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for application support, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Azure fundamentals and SQL databases.
  • SAAS support leadership experience is essential; TechOne experience will be highly regarded.
  • Able to manage, motivate, develop, and encourage teams to deliver results to time and budget.
  • Commercial acumen to ensure the team focuses on the right tasks at the right time.
  • Overtime may be required for this position.
  • A Police Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to undergo the checks, are necessary.
