Director Of Distribution

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to head our distribution operations. As Director of Distribution, you will be responsible for leading high-volume fulfillment operations, managing a team of warehouse leaders, shift supervisors, and frontline associates, and driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of a large-scale distribution center, ensuring efficient order processing and timely delivery.
  • Manage the development of a growing team, providing coaching and guidance to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to improve fulfillment times, order accuracy, inventory consistency, and operational costs through data-driven decision making.
  • Leverage inventory, shipping, and e-commerce platforms to streamline order flow, track performance metrics, and support scalable fulfillment operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align distribution operations with business objectives.
  • Oversee safety, compliance, SOP development, and training to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for operational optimization, implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with carrier and packaging vendors to secure optimal service and cost.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution operations with increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in managing fulfillment operations in growing organizations.
  • Proven leadership and people development skills, with ability to coach frontline managers.
  • Able to lead through data and drive operational improvements.
  • Experience in regulated industries preferred, but not required.
