Position Overview:

A rapidly growing consumer goods company with a national footprint is seeking a hands-on and strategic Director of Distribution to lead its high-volume fulfillment operations. Based in Charlotte, this role will oversee all aspects of warehousing, inventory, and outbound shipping—ensuring speed, compliance, and efficiency across a multistate delivery network. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of a high-volume distribution center.
• Manage and develop a growing team of warehouse leaders, shift supervisors, and frontline associates.
• Lead efforts to improve fulfillment times, order accuracy, inventory consistency, and operational costs.
• Utilize inventory, shipping, and e-commerce platforms to manage order flow, track performance metrics, and support scalable fulfillment operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align distribution operations with business goals.
• Oversee safety, compliance, SOP development, and training.
• Analyze and leverage data to proactively identify trends and opportunities for operational optimization.
• Negotiate and manage carrier and packaging vendor relationships to improve service and cost.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in distribution operations with increasing responsibility.
• Proven success managing fulfillment in growing organizations.
• Strong team leadership and people development skills; adept at coaching frontline managers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through data and drive operational improvements.
• Experience in regulated, high-compliance industries (e.g., CPG, Food & Beverage, Pharma, etc.) preferred.
