Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead the daily operations of our soon-to-open venue in the Melbourne CBD. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, maximizing profitability, and delivering an unforgettable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Work with the General Manager to set up best practice systems and processes for the venue
    • Manage and complete operational duties, including rostering, forecasting, inventory management, and reporting
    • Ensure the venue operates seamlessly, providing guests with an exceptional experience
  • Team Management
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
    • Ensure the venue meets all relevant compliance and legislative requirements
    • Drive sales to meet set targets and budgets while closely managing operational costs
  • Leadership and Development
    • Onboard, develop, and manage the team with hands-on leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Venue Management experience
  • Focused, driven, and motivated
  • A desire to learn and embrace the company's culture
  • A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills
