\About the Role
\We are seeking an exceptional Commercial Team Leader to join our flagship branch in Victoria. This individual will work closely with the leadership team to drive the success of the Victorian branch's commercial broking team and contribute to the delivery of best-in-class insurance outcomes and risk transfer solutions nationally.
\Key Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver excellent client outcomes, focusing on retention, revenue generation, and the delivery of comprehensive capabilities.\
- Maintain strategic relationships with insurance carrier partners, negotiating appropriate risk transfer and placement solutions based on individual client risk profiles.\
- Monitor and review portfolios to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting clients and colleagues in achieving great client outcomes across general lines and professional services.\
- Manage and support the team across all general lines of insurance, participating in business development opportunities, including policy wording health-checks, technical commentary in tenders, and involvement in new business presentations.\
- Provide high-level support to team members, ensuring timely and efficient responses to requests.\
- Process large commercial/corporate new business, renewals, and policy document preparation and maintenance, supporting internal infrastructure that enhances internal frameworks.\
- Ensure excellent service to clients and provide high-quality input to insurers, including quoting, renewals, endorsements/amendments, preparing correspondence between clients and underwriters, updating reports, premium calculations, and allocations as required.\
- Contribute to evolving strategic projects, supporting value-add through supply chain evaluation and monitoring, proactively enhancing client experiences through 3rd-party support, risk mitigation partners, and the like.\
Requirements and Qualifications

- A strong technical understanding of general lines classes, with knowledge of financial lines insurance products and risk solutions, ideally spanning over 10+ years.\
- Leadership experience, with confidence in supporting a culture of accountability, ownership, and transparency.\
- A keen entrepreneurial spirit, flair for business development, and excellent cross-selling abilities.\
- High self-motivation to take ownership and accountability for developing and executing relationships at a senior level.\
- Excellent market management relationships with insurers, underwriting agencies, and Lloyds/London markets.\
- 10+ years of senior-level broking experience, preferably in commercial and corporate clients, with significant experience in multi-line renewals, large and complex placements, and senior industry contacts.\
- Postgraduate/Diploma or Degree in Business/Finance/Commerce, plus Tier 1 Broking Compliance qualifications, or an Underwriting background.\
Estimated Salary Range
\A highly competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, is expected for this role, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals in the insurance broking industry.
