Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at Panasonic Avionics Corporation. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing our Part-145 Approvals and Safety Management System.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with customers and local and global Part-145 Regulatory Compliance Management to determine, negotiate, and agree on procedures, processes, standards/specifications, service quality, and safety.
- Determine and enforce regulatory compliance and safety in accordance with company needs, based on current regulations, corporate policy, and customer requirements.
- Manage the Quality System, including organizing and promoting improvement efforts, setting regulatory compliance objectives, and ensuring targets are achieved.
- Administer regional product safety, corporate policy, and associated procedures, and evaluate and develop improved techniques for regulator compliance, efficiency, and increased customer satisfaction.
- Assure compliance with national and international standards and legislation, and support and implement environmental and health and safety standards.
- Manage the implementation, oversight, and direction of the Quality System documentation and manuals, and monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
- Collate and analyze performance metrics and drive through change where targets are not meeting their goal or a negative trend is identified.
- Manage the regional document/data control and functions, and drive closed-loop Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) activity, assuring Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) effective cycle.
- Promote the creation of preventative actions and proactive initiatives, and maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control.
- Identify and deliver relevant training, and coach the regional team to better understand the QMS and the necessity to uphold compliance.
- Manage the audit program, and lead external audits from vendors, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable CASA, CAAS, CAANZ, QCAA, GCAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to research and understand customer requirements documents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally 25% of the time.
- Aviation-related degree or demonstrable evidence of 10 years in a Part-145 Regulatory Compliance/MRO/Aviation role.
- 5 years of broad technical experience, of which 3 years should be in quality management systems.
- 3-5 years' experience in managing/supervising technical personnel and/or complex activities in the field of technical operations and quality management preferred.
