We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Panasonic Avionics Corporation. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, managing, and expanding as necessary, the Part-145 Approvals and Safety Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with Customer and local and global Part-145 Regulatory Compliance Management to determine, negotiate and agree Procedures, Processes, Standards/Specifications Service Quality, and Safety.
- Determine and enforce, through functional groups, Regulatory Compliance, and Safety in accordance with company needs, based on current regulations, Corporate Policy, and customer requirements.
- Manage Quality System Organize and promote improvement efforts aligning the Part-145 QMS.
- Set Regulatory Compliance objectives and ensure targets are achieved.
- Administration of regional Product Safety, Corporate Policy and associated Procedures.
- Evaluation and development of improved techniques for the assurance of Regulator Compliance, Efficiency, and increased customer satisfaction.
- Assure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Support and implement environmental and health and safety standards.
- Management of implementation, overseeing and directing the Quality System documentation and manuals.
- Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
- Collate and analyze performance metrics and drive through change where targets are not meeting their goal, or a negative trend is identified.
- Managing the regional Document/Data Control and functions.
- Drive closed loop Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) activity assuring Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) effective cycle.
- Promote the creation of Preventative Actions and Proactive initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control.
- Identify and deliver relevant training, coach the regional team to better understand the QMS and the necessity to uphold compliance.
- Audit Management of Audit program.
- Leadership of external audits from vendors, customers and regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable CASA, CAAS, CAANZ, QCAA, GCAA, EASA and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to research and understand customer requirements documents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally 25% of time.
- Education/Experience Requirements: Aviation related degree or demonstrable evidence of 10 years in a Part-145 Regulatory Compliance/MRO/Aviation role.
- 5 years of broad technical experience of which 3 years should be in quality management systems.
- 3-5 years' experience in managing/supervising technical personnel and/or complex activities in the field of technical operations and quality management preferred.
