Salary and BenefitsThe base rate of pay for this role is between $40.68 to $49.57 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThis role involves carrying out scheduled inspections and maintenance on rolling stock and other railway infrastructure in a thorough and diligent manner. You will also perform general fabrication, new construction, modifications, and conversions to rolling stock, infrastructure, plant, and equipment.
You will work closely with the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure appropriate stores and parts are kept on hand.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance on rolling stock and other railway infrastructure
- Perform general fabrication, new construction, modifications, and conversions to rolling stock, infrastructure, plant, and equipment
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
- Liaise with the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure appropriate stores and parts are kept on hand
- Trade Certificate - Mechanical Fitter
- Welding experience (desirable)
