Deputy - Manager, Financial Reporting

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Lead to join our team in Australia.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements, reconciliations, and high-quality analysis and reporting against budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Management of financial operations, including billings, customer collections, and the accounts payable function.
  • Leadership of external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements and processes.
  • Development and maintenance of accounting policies, including staying up to date with new international and local GAAP technical accounting standards and their applicability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and develop teams to drive business growth and success.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3+ years PQE (CA or CPA Qualified).
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Finance/Commerce or similar.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment or global company preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience, Netsuite experience preferred.
  • Big 4 Audit background highly desirable.
