About Our Client

We are working with a well-established Private Equity backed FMCG business, with a strong portfolio of brands.

This opportunity offers an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion into a permanent role.

As Operations Finance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations, offering strategic finance support to drive decision-making and company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the entire financial reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
  • Preparing and presenting financial statements, reports, and analyses for senior management, the board, and external stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Overseeing tax calculations and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business needs.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams like operations, sales and marketing to provide financial insights that drive informed business decisions.
  • Supporting inventory management and monitoring site inventory variances.
  • Managing the audit process by maintaining strong relationships with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
  • Providing strategic financial analysis to senior leadership, aiding in key decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading a finance team.
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Strong background in FMCG and/or manufacturing industries.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in similar roles, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The estimated salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
