Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group External Reporting Manager to lead our external financial reporting and governance requirements for the Qantas Group.

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and experience in delivering external reporting in a large ASX listed organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of external financial reporting and governance requirements for the Qantas Group
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the business on key transactions and ensure correct implementation
  • Lead and motivate a large team through the half-year and year-end process to deliver on all requirements
  • Work closely with the business units to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided to stakeholders
  • Build deep experience and expertise in relation to the Qantas business and foster strong relationships with the business units
Requirements
  • Degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent with over 10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset with a meticulous eye for detail and ability to see the longer strategic vision for the Group
  • Mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to lead, coach and motivate a large team
