Job Description

At Qantas, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Group External Reporting team. As the Group External Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality external financial reporting and governance requirements for the Qantas Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of external financial reporting and governance requirements for the Qantas Group
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the business on key transactions and ensure correct implementation
  • Support business units on the application of accounting policies and standards
  • Lead and motivate a large team through the half-year and year-end reporting process
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of external reporting to KPMG and other external parties
Requirements
  • Degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent with over 10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to grasp complex issues and communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and experience of delivering external reporting in a large ASX listed organisation
  • Passion for delivering high-quality financial reporting
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate a large team
  • Strong analytical mindset with a meticulous eye for detail
