Senior External Reporting Manager

About the RoleThis is a varied and challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise in external reporting, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. As a Senior External Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial close processes and external reporting obligations, working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO.
Key Responsibilities- Support activities associated with Annual and half-yearly ASX reporting, including applying accounting standards and ASX reporting requirements
- Work closely with external auditors to support the external audit process
- Prepare technical memoranda, including research and analysis of relevant technical accounting issues
- Assist in the production of accounting policy documents
- Prepare other financial reporting requirements for regulators, investors, and key stakeholders
- Work on special projects, including transaction-related work, valuations, and divestitures
- Manage a team of 5 direct reports, including relevant performance management activities
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in external reporting, with experience in the financial services sector. You will also need to possess excellent technical accounting skills, commercial acumen, and leadership abilities. A CPA/CIMA or CA qualification is essential, and experience in managing a team is highly desirable.
