The role of the Tactical Ag Sales Operations Manager is pivotal in leading operational and sales functions for an agricultural rental and procurement business.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee product management, procurement, sales operations and administration for a high-performing agricultural rental unit
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with seasonal demand and operational goals
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and customers
- Manage inventory levels, delivery schedules and order processing to ensure uninterrupted supply
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to support product selection and pricing decisions
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
- A tertiary qualification in Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Extensive experience in agricultural procurement or sales operations preferably in large-scale farming
- Strong knowledge of agricultural inputs, market dynamics and farming practices
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement platforms
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative mindset with willingness to travel to suppliers and customers
