Job Description

The role of Ag Sales Operations Manager is pivotal in driving operational and sales success for an agricultural rental business. This position demands a deep understanding of input procurement, sales coordination, and inventory management.

This includes managing product, procurement, sales operations, and administration for a high-performing agricultural rental unit. Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with seasonal demand and operational goals is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational and sales functions of the agricultural rental business.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet seasonal demand and operational goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, delivery schedules, and order processing to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to support product selection and pricing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in agricultural procurement or sales operations.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural inputs, market dynamics, and farming practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement platforms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, with a willingness to travel.
