Job Summary:

New Horizons Enterprises Limited is seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Port Macquarie. As a Support Worker, you will be the first point of contact for NDIS participants, families, and Support Coordinators, providing high-quality support services to individuals with disability, mental health concerns, and other needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the daily care needs of residents within the community
  • Provide support to residents presenting with complex care needs
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, social, and recreational activities, adhering to specialist plans and medication administration, personal care, manual handling, meal preparation as per NDIS plan goals

Requirements:

  • Use of own vehicle
  • Appropriate certificate level qualification in Community Services, Mental Health, or Disability, or equivalent relevant experience in the human services industry
  • Valid NSW Drivers C class licence, with ability to drive vehicles in licence class, including large cars and vans
  • Must be fit to undertake the physical requirements of customer support, including the capacity to lift 10 kilograms unassisted
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, other common systems
