About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Northcott, a leading disability service provider in NSW, ACT, and QLD. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex health and physical needs in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support customers to develop and maintain independence
  • Provide personal care, including bowel care, manual handling, and other health and hygiene needs
  • Undertake household tasks, such as mealtime management, cleaning, and community access activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the Disability industry (specifically support work)
  • Previous manual handling experience in the Disability industry
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including active night shifts
  • Experience supporting customers with intellectual disability, high physical support needs, and medical/health needs
  • A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van
  • NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
