We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team at Programmed Health Professionals. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities to individuals living with disabilities.
- Help clients to achieve their personal goals and independence through tailored support plans.
- Assist in social, recreational, and community participation activities to promote engagement and well-being.
- Manage challenging behaviours and provide emotional support to clients.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Current Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, or Community Care.
- Experience working with clients who have complex needs in an Aged Care or Community setting.
- Valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle and current car insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Workers Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Minimum six months of recent experience in providing personal care assistance to clients in an aged care or community setting.
- Great hourly rates paid weekly.
- Access to our mobile app for managing your roster, availabilities, client information, shift tasks & timesheets.
- Ongoing rosters & regular hours.
- Immediate start with full orientation provided.
- Work with a supportive & collaborative team.
- Access to ongoing learning opportunities.
- Free CPR training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, understanding, and ability to manage challenging behaviours.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and reliability.
