We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in Newcastle. As a Support Worker, you will provide personal care support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care support, including showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily activities, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Facilitate community inclusion and participation
  • Follow care plans and routines
  • Encourage positive behaviors and manage challenging behavior

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services or individual support
  • Flexibility to work rosters between 6am and 10.30pm
  • Spinal cord and brain injury experience highly desirable
  • Manual handling, hoists, and lifter experience favorable
  • A positive attitude and commitment to person-centered care
