Business Development Role

Succeeding in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking and effective collaboration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive business growth through innovative sales strategies, and cultivate a deep understanding of client needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Technology Leaders, driving revenue growth, and enhancing client satisfaction. You will focus on the Australian market, working with prominent clients in Financial Services, and exploring new opportunities to expand our presence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Driving opportunity qualification initiatives
  • Understanding client business issues and requirements
  • Recommending tailored solutions to clients, articulating their business value
The Team

You will be part of a high-performing team whose mission is to address new and existing clients' business imperatives with solutions built on IBM Cloud. We evangelize the unique value of IBM Cloud and deliver monthly recurring revenue growth for IBM Cloud.

As a member of this team, you will report directly to the Cloud Leader. Your primary measure will be revenue growth in your assigned territory, and other KPIs will include developing pipeline for engagements, teaming with business partners, and partnering with an IBM Account Technology Leader to achieve account strategy objectives.

Account Planning & Stakeholder Management

You will support territory strategy and planning, contributing to the account planning process for assigned accounts. You will partner with the technology leader to develop and maintain trusted relationships at all levels within the client's business.

Managing For Growth involves applying knowledge of licensing and contracting models to shape solutions that deliver client value while supporting brand-specific business unit strategies. You will leverage marketing use cases to drive customer lifetime value.
