This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a female casual Disability Support Worker. As a caregiver for children with intellectual disabilities, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to help them reach their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, and medication administration.
  • Supporting participants with complex needs, including those with challenging behaviours and difficulties in communication.
  • Completing medical charts and records, shift notes, and progress notes.
  • Recognising and understanding individual changes, and adapting care plans accordingly.
  • Assisting with domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.

Requirements:

  • Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability Support.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to support a young child with an intellectual disability and high behaviours.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including passive sleepovers.
  • Must be able to drive participant's vehicle.
