Female Disability Support Worker

Cocoon SDA Care is a well-established employer in the disability sector, with a strong focus on supporting clients with their full potential.
We are seeking a female casual disability support worker to join our team, who has experience in supporting children with high intellectual support needs.
The successful applicant will have a strong command of the English language, be able to work flexible shifts, and be available for morning shifts and sleepovers.
As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing complex care and support to participants with challenging behaviours, completing medical charts and records, and recognising and understanding individual changes.
The role offers the opportunity to work in a family-friendly, supportive environment, with professional development opportunities and a chance to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care, including bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, and medication administration.
- Completing medical charts and records, shift notes, and progress notes.
- Recognising and understanding individual changes, and domestic duties for a clean and hygienic environment and workplace.
Requirements:
- Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability Support.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Orientation module (NDIS Quality Safety & You).
- Working with Children Check.
- Driver's Licence.
- Ability to support a young child with an intellectual disability and high behaviours.
