This role involves driving operational excellence, cost control, budgeting, forecasting and supporting strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and timely cost accounting records and information to determine and record costs by product, department, cost centre, profit centre, etc.
  • Calculate annual direct manufacturing costs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Publish weekly plant production and variance reports; prepare detailed accounting journals to present correctly monthly factory performance.
  • Analyse cost information and prepare the factory reporting pack with variations from expected costs monthly.
  • Ensure provisions for obsolete/slow-moving stock and inter-company profit eliminations.
  • Attend plant S&OP and weekly leadership team meetings as required.
Business Analysis:
  • Provide accurate and timely advice and financial analysis including reviews of trends and variances from budget and prior year actual.
  • Perform quarterly SOX testing as required.
  • Costing approvals for plant as required.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Prepare the annual budget for the plant in accordance with budget objectives.
  • Participate in the review and implementation process.
