Drive Business Growth in Asia Pacific

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Professional to drive business growth across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will manage the bid process from inception to submission, focusing on major donors such as DFAT, FCDO, and EU.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and track emerging opportunities, monitor donor pipelines, and assess competitiveness and winnability of pursuits
  • Lead and support BD activities across Asia-Pacific, including relationship-building with clients and regular engagement to understand needs and identify future opportunities
  • Develop strategic partnerships to form consortium arrangements with complementary expertise
  • Support bid writing, develop technical and financial proposals, establish prime and subcontracting arrangements, and ensure timely, compliant submissions

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant international development experience, preferably in Asia-Pacific, with challenges such as climate change, sustainable infrastructure, gender and social inclusion, governance
  • Consulting experience in international development, governmental, or multilateral sectors; relevant experience with donors may be considered in lieu of direct consulting experience
  • Professional English proficiency; strong oral and written communication; competence with Microsoft products

The role is based in Australia, and the successful applicant must have the pre-existing right to live and work in the country.

Requirements

The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject; Master's degree preferred, with preference for international development, international affairs, or related fields
  • Strong bid-writing capabilities; experience leading bids for DFAT is an advantage
  • Ability to build credible client relationships with multicultural stakeholders; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure
