Culturally Responsive Suicide Prevention Specialist

- Providing timely and assertive follow-up care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals referred to the Culture Care Connect service
- Delivering trauma-aware, healing-informed aftercare services that integrate suicide prevention planning and response activity
- Developing and implementing co-designed aftercare models of care in collaboration with the community
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal health and wellbeing principles and practices
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals
- Ability to work in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, a leading provider of Aboriginal primary health care services. As a Culture Care Connect Suicide Prevention Worker, you will play a critical role in delivering culturally safe and effective support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families.
You will work collaboratively with the community to develop and implement co-designed aftercare models of care that address the intersection of AOD, SEWB, and other complementary programs. Your strong understanding of Aboriginal health and wellbeing principles and practices will be essential in ensuring that your work is culturally responsive and effective.
