About the Role

The Sexual Health Nurse Enhanced Syphilis Response Program (ESRP) role is a key position within our organization, supporting the implementation of targeted screening for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) in the Central Australian region.

As a specialist in sexual health and blood-borne viruses, you will be responsible for conducting screenings, prevention, treatment, and monitoring activities, with a focus on addressing the current syphilis outbreak. You will work closely with the Sexual Health Coordinator to ensure appropriate clinical practice and develop specialist skills and knowledge within the field.

This is a service delivery position that requires considerable time spent on clinical activities, both in the clinic and outreach settings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting targeted screenings for STIs in the Central Australian region, including Congress town and remote clinics.
  • Providing education and support to patients on STI prevention and management.
  • Working closely with the Sexual Health Coordinator to ensure effective program implementation and evaluation.

We offer a comprehensive salary package, including a base salary of $103,759 - $110,838 per annum, plus district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, and estimated tax savings from salary packaging options. The total effective package is $126,982 - $134,982 per annum.
