About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Congress Suicide Prevention programs and services, including a team of suicide prevention workers. The successful candidate will provide high-level oversight for the effective, high-quality, and culturally appropriate delivery of suicide prevention and postvention services.

The position is located within the Congress Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service, which embeds three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required. People accessing the SEWB services have access to a dedicated GP and nursing team (healthcare pods) that can provide mental health care plans and integrated care through our therapeutic and social and cultural support model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Congress Suicide Prevention programs and services
  • Provide high-level oversight for the effective, high-quality, and culturally appropriate delivery of suicide prevention and postvention services
  • Work collaboratively with the SEWB team to embed three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required
