
Flood Resilience Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with new customers and is passionate about driving business growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in enterprise sales, ideally selling to government agencies and/or critical infrastructure. They will be responsible for expanding our customer base across public and private sectors, building and managing a qualified pipeline, and leading consultative, value-based sales from discovery through negotiation and contract execution.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex procurement cycles and secure contracts that deploy our operational flood technology, helping clients build flood resilience.
This role offers a competitive negotiated compensation and sales bonus package, as well as opportunities to participate in our Employee Share Option Plan. We also offer flexible and hybrid working options and an employee wellness program.
The Brisbane office is located in The Precinct in the Fortitude Valley, and applicants must have full working rights to live and work in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth by expanding our customer base across public and private sectors.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline, in line with our company growth strategy.
- Lead consultative, value-based sales from discovery through negotiation and contract execution.
- Own the process of developing customer quotes, proposals, and formal bid/RFP responses, coordinating with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client priorities.
- Navigate complex procurement cycles and secure contracts that deploy our operational flood technology, helping clients build flood resilience.
- Proactively prospect target accounts while responding to and advancing inbound opportunities.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with our clients to provide a smooth and positive experience during the sales & onboarding process.
- Represent us at industry events, positioning our impact in resilience, safety, and risk reduction.
- Partner with marketing to amplify case studies and client success stories to generate demand.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in enterprise sales, ideally selling to government agencies and/or critical infrastructure.
- Proven success executing full sales cycle and exceeding ARR targets.
- Strong experience qualifying opportunities and mapping executive stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality in all that you do.
- Background in SaaS, technical, or licensed solutions.
- Familiarity with GIS and geospatial technologies.
