Position Overview: Senior HR Manager

In the capacity of Senior HR Manager, you will spearhead initiatives in industrial relations, performance enhancement, investigative protocols, employee engagement, and organizational policies. This essential role involves delivering strategic mentorship and support to the People & Culture division and the wider organization, ensuring a practical, operationally effective, and commercially astute methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and uphold a comprehensive Industrial Relations framework that aligns with the organizational strategy.
  2. Offer strategic, procedural, and situational negotiation assistance to People & Culture Managers and Business Leaders.
  3. Formulate people-centric policies, including standards and guidelines for the ANZ region. Ensure the maintenance of standardized performance improvement, investigative, and reporting procedures, providing coaching and assistance in their implementation.
  4. Oversee and regulate employee terms and conditions, including contracts, clauses, notice periods, and restraint periods.
  5. Guarantee adherence to legislative mandates across the jurisdictions of operation.
  6. Collaborate with the in-house Legal team to ensure coherence, manage advice and escalations as necessary, and supervise governance requirements and relationships with external consultants.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. In-depth understanding of industrial relations and employee relations legislation across Australia.
  2. Extensive experience in a comparable role.
  3. Proven track record in negotiating employment agreements and engaging with unions.
  4. Commitment to continuous improvement with experience in developing best practice strategies, frameworks, and tools.
  5. Strong commercial insight with the capability to make informed, independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adept relationship management and influencing abilities.
  7. Capacity and willingness to operate both strategically and operationally.
