Position Overview: Senior HR Manager

The Senior HR Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's approach to industrial relations, performance management, and employee engagement. This strategic position involves providing expert coaching and guidance to the People & Culture team and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and uphold a comprehensive Industrial Relations framework that supports the overall business strategy.
  2. Offer strategic negotiation assistance to People & Culture Managers and Business Leaders.
  3. Develop and implement people policies, including standards and guidelines, while maintaining effective performance improvement and reporting processes.
  4. Oversee employee contracts, terms, and conditions, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  5. Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative requirements across operational jurisdictions.
  6. Work collaboratively with the in-house Legal team to ensure consistency and manage any necessary escalations.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. In-depth knowledge of industrial relations and employee relations legislation across Australia.
  2. Extensive experience in a similar HR management role.
  3. Proven track record in negotiating employment agreements and working with unions.
  4. Strong focus on continuous improvement with experience in developing effective strategies and frameworks.
  5. High level of commercial awareness and the ability to make informed decisions within established guidelines.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and strong relationship management abilities.
  7. Ability to balance hands-on involvement with strategic oversight.
