Senior Spatial Information Officer

The Tasmanian Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Spatial Information Officer to join our team. As a key member of our mapping and GIS team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality cartographic products and providing authoritative advice and services related to standard series and specialist map production, design, GIS, and application development activities.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality outputs and provide authoritative advice and services related to standard series and specialist map production, design, GIS, and application development activities.
- Deal with the full range of LIST datasets and access a diverse range of software from GIS to graphic arts to produce digital and hardcopy maps.
- Harness your curiosity and drive innovation developing projects from inception to completion and implementation, while working in close association with the data managers, maintenance, and client services areas.

- An Advanced/Associate Diploma in Applied Science, or equivalent level, in a Spatial Sciences related discipline, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation, or a registered and accredited training provider. Or extensive demonstrated experience, eight years or more, working directly in the field of Mapping and GIS providing high quality outputs.
