Commercial Project Governance Specialist

As a key member of the project team, this Commercial Project Governance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with commercial standards and broader regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will drive the process for contractual compliance to ensure optimal contractual, financial, and relationship outcomes for new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial governance during the project phase, collaborating closely with the project team, legal, engineering, sales leads, and procurement.
  • Closing commercial negotiations with suppliers and governing subcontract execution.
  • Providing guidance and practical support in claims, EOT, contract correspondence, and contract administration.
  • Actively managing contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting in dispute matters with all relevant parties within the organization which would include legal, project team, and procurement.
  • Building strong relationships with our subcontractors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years managing large-scale projects is required, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management for EPC, D&C, or LTSA.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation and project risk management.
  • Proficient in project management practices.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate experience to autonomously contract manage complex agreements.
  • Strong financial reporting skills and ability to analyze financial information.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
