Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Male Registered Nurse to join our team at the Men's Clinic in Tennant Creek. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to male clients, including STI education, screening, and contract tracing. They will also be involved in health promotion activities, substance abuse care, nutritional care, and mental health care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong relationships with male clients, effective collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and a holistic philosophy to overall good health and wellbeing. They will also have experience working with Aboriginal communities or organisations, as well as knowledge of the Primary Health Care system and key issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
About the Role- Deliver health checks and promote health awareness.
- Provide STI education, screening, and contract tracing.
- Work closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners to maintain and develop culturally appropriate and accessible health services for men.
- Develop and promote Anyinginyi Health programs and participate in health and wellbeing check clinics.
- Deliver health care to men, youth, aged, and people with disabilities, including prompt follow-up and recall of patients.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Evidenced understanding of the Primary Health Care system and key issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities or organisations highly regarded.
We offer a competitive salary of $104,817 - $111,990 per annum, plus generous salary packaging and professional development incentives.
