The role of Payroll & HR Coordinator plays a crucial part in both payroll and human resources functions, ensuring accurate payroll processing and assisting with various coordination tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Administer weekly payroll and support monthly payroll as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and award regulations through thorough knowledge of relevant laws.
- Maintain employee records and prepare detailed payroll reports for management review.
- Assist with termination payments, general ledger processing, and month-end reporting to meet deadlines.
- Provide expert advice on pay inquiries and manage payroll documentation effectively.
- Support daily HR tasks, employment documents, and administrative duties to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate in-house training programs and maintain accurate employee files.
- Act as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provide support with HR projects and other ad-hoc HR tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- At least 3 years of payroll experience preferably in a complex environment, demonstrating adaptability and expertise.
- Sound knowledge of payroll, taxation, and superannuation legislation to ensure compliance.
- Previous experience in HR Administration/Coordination or Recruitment is advantageous but not essential.
- Working experience with payroll systems – Micropay knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Great work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential traits for success in this role.
