Technical Support Specialist

This role involves supporting specialist forensic software used across the public safety sector. As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, support production environments, and collaborate with developers, designers, and subject matter experts to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical support experience, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, maintenance, and upgrades for commercial software products, delivering exceptional service, and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support, maintenance, and upgrades for commercial software products.
  • Deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, investigate bugs, and support data engineering tasks.
  • Accurately document actions and resolutions in service management tools.
  • Operate within Continuous Integration (CI) environments and tools.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, UX designers, analysts, and SMEs.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support roster.
  • Represent the organisation on client sites as needed.
  • Prioritise work to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL, including advanced queries and database optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud troubleshooting.
  • Broad technical expertise across various platforms and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to resolve cloud application and database issues with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple customer needs.
  • Background in software engineering or ability to understand code.
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Must have the ability obtain a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
