Job Opportunity

This role is for a skilled and experienced support technician to work as part of the regional team in Public Safety and Professional Communications Division.

The successful candidate will be based in Brisbane, Australia, and provide technical support across a growing customer base in Australasia. This includes programs during the Sustainment phase, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining contract compliance.

The role involves local/remote repair/testing, training, and customer service solutions for L3Harris customers and other technical staff under Maintenance and Support programs. Regular travel to ACT and other states may be required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Testing and remediation at localised levels for supplied products.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and controlling all assets between the customer and L3Harris Communications.
  • Conducting Preventative Maintenance Inspections of supplied radios.
  • Liasing on product improvements/issues.
  • Troubleshooting/fault finding returned material to ascertain next remediation step(s).
  • Developing strong relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Qualifications
  • A minimum Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or a High School Diploma with 8-10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • RF and/or P25 experience in either Public Safety or Defence Force is highly advantageous.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

This is a mid-senior level full-time position within the Defense and Space Manufacturing industry.
