The Business Development Executive role is responsible for managing and developing clients and profiles, adopting a content- and product-led approach in taking practice groups to market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Pitching: Supporting pitches, understanding RFPs, sourcing standard content, preparing briefs, and assisting with pitch presentations.
- Event Management: Managing client events from start to finish, coordinating production of event collateral, and liaising with key vendors.
- Reporting and Analysis: Providing ROI analysis of online and in-person events.
- Marketing/CRM Systems: Supporting the BD & Marketing team with client mailings, producing reports on CRM activities, and using analytics to monitor performance.
- Content Creation: Creating and maintaining content on the firm's website, assisting with podcast production, and acting as an ambassador for brand and process best practice.
- Directories: Contributing to the legal directory process, including collation of content, managing submissions, interviews, and reporting back to the business.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A willingness to learn, positive attitude, and ability to apply sensible judgment are highly valued.
- Effective teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet research tools.
