
Support Coach

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Darwin. Experience is preferred but not essential.
- Developing and implementing individualised behaviour support plans to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in mental health and teaching, with a passion for helping people grow and achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including families, caregivers, and allied health professionals.
- Utilising assessments such as functional behavior analysis to inform support plans.
- Implementing strategies and interventions focused on holistic wellbeing and strengths.
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and ethical guidelines.
Regular remote travel is involved, and the following requirements must be met:
- NDIS worker screening check, Australian drivers license, first aid certificate, OCHRE card, and current Criminal History check within last 3 months.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals across the lifespan (children and adults) with disabilities and complex behaviours.
- Good stress management strategies, ability to think quickly, and flexible thinking.
- Ability to work independently, autonomously, and in a team environment.
- Solution-focused approach, experience with writing reports, and understanding causes/ triggers behind behaviours.
Prior experience in psychology, mental health studies, counselling, clinical social work, or teaching is highly regarded.
