Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering support services to children and young people who have come to the attention of law enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Proactively engage with children and young people to deliver support services, including referring them to programs and agencies; linking them with their families and support persons; and connecting with Youth Justice counterparts to inform case management activities.">
  • Engage with and establish partnerships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers, including law enforcement, to achieve quality casework outcomes.">
  • Undertake record and information management tasks, including maintenance of case records, preparation of reports, performance reporting, and data entry to inform casework and accountability.">
  • Develop strong links to Youth Justice Service Centre counterparts and share information to inform improved court and case management activities in both community and custodial settings.">
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to develop, maintain, and enhance knowledge and competencies to ensure that service delivery is based on contemporary, evidence-based best practice principles.">
  • Contribute to an organisational culture that ensures sensitive and effective communication with people from other cultures, including those from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, and be responsive to cultural protocols to ensure they are embedded in service delivery.">
