As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the International Terminal Security and Retail Upgrade project at Brisbane Airport.

The Project:

This project involves the reconfiguration and expansion of the International Terminal's main security screening area and upgrading retail and administrative facilities. As a supervisor, you'll be responsible for monitoring construction progress, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and effectively coordinating and supervising the utilisation of all on-site resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on construction progress, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or issues.
  • Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work, promoting a culture of safety and health.
  • Coordinate and supervise the utilisation of all on-site resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company and group policies and processes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking plans for daily, weekly, and monthly construction work, including resource requirements and trade coordination.

Requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor working on large-scale projects within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong people management and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to champion a culture of safety and health.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment, delivering on deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Availability for night shifts if required.
