Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Security Specialist to join our team at ISS. As an Aviation Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers and their possessions at our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain consistent and standard security practices to ensure the safety and security of passengers and their possessions.
  • Control access to security-sensitive areas, conduct thorough searches, and identify prohibited items.
  • Coordinate the efficient flow of passengers through security screening.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues.
  • Meet the minimum criteria for the role, including holding a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection and obtaining an ASIC (criminal history clearance) within the past 10 years.
  • Be available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster and be willing to undergo paid on-site training for the required qualification.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have a valid QLD Security Licence to perform relief duties as an Active Surveillance Officer.
  • Have previous CCTV experience and knowledge of active surveillance techniques.
  • Be able to pass a drug screening and medical assessment.
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
