Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and service delivery of the Medical Chest Program across Queensland. You will collaborate closely with the Medical Chest Service Manager and lead the administration team to ensure the effective management of our medical chest services.

The Medical Chest Program is fundamental to our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to communities. This new opportunity as the Medical Chest Administration Supervisor is crucial for maintaining our exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Medical Chest Service Manager in optimizing the use of medical chests.
  • Communicate with medical chest prescribers and holders, including interpreting records.
  • Advocate for proper medical chest usage by supporting end users with compliance and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of administration training materials, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and regulations concerning medical chest usage.
  • Oversee the registration, regulation, and training of medication chest holders, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost-effectiveness within the program.
  • Provide daily operational leadership to the medical chest administration team, focusing on continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a small team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Background in administration, including data entry and records management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
