Ground Operations Duty Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Qantas Group as a Ground Operations Duty Manager. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ground handling activities.
Key Responsibilities- Support business partners in achieving ground operations objectives across ramp, baggage, and fleet functions at domestic and international airports.
- Ensure safe daily operations and oversee ground handler activities.
- Support aircraft movements and drive strategic change initiatives through engagement with ground handler suppliers.
- Develop strong relationships with Customer Experience teams and other stakeholders to drive business growth and development.
- Collaborate with Airports leadership, Commercial and Airport Services teams, and port operational supervisors to deliver high levels of service.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with experience in influencing and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Broad knowledge of airport operations, particularly in Ramp, Fleet presentation, and/or Operational areas.
- Supervisory experience in an operational environment (desirable but not essential).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Operational and commercial focus, with the ability to assess the impact of decisions on business outcomes.
- The ability to work under pressure, multitasking to meet business demands and ever-changing needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a self-starter with a flexible approach to work.
- High level of resilience and passion for continuous improvement.
- Able to commit to a 7-day rotating shift roster covering operational hours.
