About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Guest Support Officer to join our team at The Star Entertainment Group. As a key member of our Responsible Gaming team, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe and responsible gaming environment for our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Support and Guidance: Offer empathetic support to guests experiencing challenges related to gaming, ensuring they receive the help they need to make informed decisions.
  • Promote Responsible Gaming Practices: Proactively communicate with guests to promote responsible gaming behaviors and provide information on available resources and support services.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams to enhance safety measures and awareness, ensuring a cohesive approach to responsible gaming.
  • Conduct Welfare Checks: Conduct regular welfare checks as part of our safety gaming programs, identifying potential issues and providing support as needed.
  • Support Self-Excluded Guests: Assist guests who are self-excluded or have breached self-exclusion to access gaming treatment help services and/or financial counseling.
Requirements
  • Experience in Guest Relations or Support Services: A background in guest relations, support services, social work, security, or education is essential for this role.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships, policies, and responsible gaming strategies, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making sound judgments and informed decisions to mitigate risks.
  • Knowledge of Responsible Gaming: Understanding of responsible gaming principles and practices, with the ability to identify indications of gaming issues and provide support as needed.
