As a Guest Service Agent with Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, you will have the opportunity to provide a personalized and welcoming experience for our guests. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
- Following Front Office policies, procedures, and service standards
- Welcoming, checking-in, and checking-out guests
- Assisting guests with hotel facilities and answering their queries in an informative and helpful way
- Efficiently handling all guest queries and requests
- Promptly and pleasantly handling phone calls and guest messages
- Ensuring the Front Desk is appropriately supplied and stocked at all times
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant work experience in the hospitality/service industry, preferably in hotels
- Prior experience working with Opera/Opera Cloud and MS Office Suite is desired
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively in a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Flexible availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
